Spatiotemporal variation in dominance relationships
During my undergraduate thesis, we recorded hummingbird fights in three locations in the mountain coastal range of Caracas at different altitudes in two months -where we saw changes in abundance and composition of species- and we noticed changes in the dominance relationships possible related to the abundance of each species.
Hummingbird abundance changes
While I was recording for my thesis I started counting hummingbirds every month for two years, and once I moved to Colombia I started doing the same everyday for a year in the research station. I noticed changes in abundance and composition of species of hummingbird in artificial feeders, so what is happening in nature? for six months I started counting hummingbirds around the station and also flowers.
